PTE is a multinational, LBGT+ friendly workplace specialising in the design of homes, neighbourhoods, public and mixed-use buildings throughout the United Kingdom. We work closely and collaboratively with our clients, forging long term relationships and place great importance not only on the way that buildings look, but also on the way that they are made, the way they are used and how they age.
Our headquarters at Diespeker Wharf, just five minutes’ walk from Angel Islington, is one the most tranquil spots on London’s canal network and provides a great working environment for our staff, clients and collaborators.
See our Working at PTE page to find out more about the company.
Work experience
Each year PTE offers work experience for Year 10 and Year 12 students at our friendly and vibrant office in Islington.
This provides invaluable experience for those in Key Stage 4 and 5 who are in the process of considering their future career choices. Supporting education is embedded in PTE’s social value objectives – work experience, apprenticeships, junior open house events, careers days and mentoring are all part of the PTE’s educational support programme.
Each week is specifically timetabled for the student, providing a wide range of supervised experience, giving an insight into the career of an architect. The week includes mentoring on a small design project, software training and attendance of in-office meetings, design reviews, CPDs and an end of week design presentation with a small group of PTE colleagues.
PTE embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion. We are committed to representing and reflecting the communities that we serve. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from students at state schools and academies. Therefore, we encourage if you are of Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic backgrounds to apply.
Students should contact us at careers@ptea.co.uk with a short email about you and your interests, whether in architecture and the built environment, sustainability or graphic design.
